Asim Ahmed MD

Asim Ahmed, DO, serves as an electrophysiologist and director of the Atrial Fibrillation clinic with Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart Cardiology in Pensacola, Florida. He provides personalized, comprehensive care to adults with heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Ahmed has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation and flutter and ventricular tachycardia, remote monitoring, and wearable cardiac devices. During his graduate medical education, he served as both chief resident and chief fellow and was named resident and fellow of the year for sequential years. He then completed advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology, where his passion for medical education has led to multiple contributions to the literature. Outside of the office, Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, reading, sketching, 3D printing, listening to podcasts, cooking and traveling.
