Arianna Kim PhD
Department of Dermatology, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, New YorkDr. Kim’s research focuses on identifying the molecular and cellular components that influence cancer cell survival and elucidating how these factors contribute to the pathogenesis of nonmelanoma skin cancers (NMSC). Dr. Kim’s current research topics include 1) identification of additional genetic and epigenetic targets driving NMSCs, 2) mechanisms by which the bromodomain (BRD)-containing protein 7 (BRD7) and BRD9 of the SWItch/Sucrose NonFermentable (SWI/SNF) chromatin remodeling complexes influence BCC growth, and 3) development of mechanism-driven combinatorial treatment strategies for the prevention and treatment of NMSCs.
