Dr. Antonio L. Teixeira is Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology, and Director of the Neuropsychiatry Program at UT Health Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He is actively involved in clinical care of older adults with behavioral syndromes, especially in the context of neurodegenerative diseases, and translational research. Besides clinical training in internal medicine, neurology and psychiatry, Dr. Teixeira had the opportunity to pursue MSc/PhD and post-doc fellowship in cellular biology and immunology, respectively.  Prior to coming to Houston at the end of 2015, Dr. Teixeira was an associate professor of Neurology and Internal Medicine at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil.
