Humpton, Jr. Endowed Fellow in diabetes research at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Dr Flatt’s research interests include glucose counterregulation and management of hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes. Dr Flatt is a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK and previous NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in diabetes and Diabetes UK funded Clinical Research Associate at Newcastle University, UK. Dr Flatt was awarded a JDRF educational graft at the European Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association for research in post-islet transplantation hypoglycemia.
