Anne M. Suskind, MD, MS, FACS is an Associate Professor of Urology and of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences in the School of Medicine. She joined the faculty in 2014 following two fellowships at the University of Michigan, one in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) and one in Health Services Research (HSR). Her research focuses on frailty and surgical outcomes among older adults undergoing urologic surgery to improve quality of life. She was recently awarded an R01 from the NIH/NIA on Optimizing surgical decision-making for nursing home residents undergoing surgery for bladder and bowel dysfunction, and has received many multidisciplinary honors for her work including the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) New Investigator Award (2016) and the AGS Jeffrey H. Sliverstein Memorial Award for Emerging Investigators in the Surgical and Related Medical Specialties that are Focused on the Care of Older Adults (2017).
