Director of Adolescent Medicine at Hurley Children’s Hospital/Hurley Medical Center, Flint MI and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics Department of Pediatrics & Human Development, Michigan State University/College of Human Medicine, Lansing, MI.Dr. Anju Sawni received her MD degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles in 1985. She completed her Pediatric Residency from Children’s Hospital of Michigan /Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit MI in 1988. She then completed an Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at North Shore Hospital/Cornell University Medical School in Manhasset NY in 1992. After completing her fellowship in Adolescent Medicine she joined the division of Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital of MI, Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, MI where she was clinical faculty and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics, Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, MI until 2012. In 2012 she became the director of Adolescent Medicine at Hurley Children’s Hospital/Hurley Medical Center in Flint MI and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics Department of Pediatrics & Human Development, Michigan State University/College of Human Medicine, Lansing. She is also Community clerkship director for third year medical students for Flint Area Medical Education (FAME) Core Competency Curriculum/virtuous physician curriculum, Michigan State University/College of Human Medicine. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
