Dr. Anjana Pillai is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Medicine, where she serves as the Medical Director of the Liver Tumor Program and the Adult Living Donor Liver Transplant Program and is the Program Director of the Transplant Hepatology Fellowship. Her primary clinical and research interests are in hepatocellular carcinoma. She is involved in several multicenter trials examining biomarkers, surveillance patterns and treatment options for HCC. She is also deeply committed to liver transplantation and serves on the Adult HCC speciality Board for the National Liver Regional Board. She also has a strong dedication to the development of mentorship and leadership skills for women in medicine, and has been involved in multiple events focused on career advancement for women.
