Angela Vincent is Emeritus Professor of Neuroimmunology at the University of Oxford and is an honorary professor at University College London.  Medically qualified, she was an Honorary Consultant in Immunology and established and directed the Oxford Neuroimmunology Service from 1992-2016.  Research interests include serological studies on patients with neuromuscular junction disorders (myasthenia, MuSK-myasthenia, peripheral nerve hyperexcitability) and acquired disorders of the CNS associated with antibodies to receptors and associated proteins (eg. LGI1 and CASPR2, NMDA and glycine receptors).   She also pioneered experimental studies on the role of maternal antibodies in causing susceptibility to neurodevelopmental disorders.
