Professor and Chairman, Department of Urology, Sant’Andrea Hospital, Sapienza University, Rome, Italy

Dr. Andrea Tubaro graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Sapienza University of Rome and completed his postgraduate training in Urology in the same institution. In 1988, he was appointed Assistant professor of Urology at L’Aquila University, L’Aquila, Italy where he served until 2001 when he was nominated Associate Professor of Urology in the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome.

Since 2010 Dr. Tubaro is Chairman of the Department of Urology at the Sant’Andrea Hospital which is the campus of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journal, several books and book chapters. His research has focused on functional urology, mainly incontinence and BPH and early diagnosis of prostate cancer.  Dr. Tubaro participated and chaired several international committees on BPH and urinary incontinence.

He’s a member of the EAU guideline committee for urinary incontinence, sits in the Board of the EAU Foundation for Urological Research and he is the President of the Italian Foundation for Urological Research.
