Andrea Di Marco, MD, PhD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Bellvitge University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain. His main area of research is the risk stratification of ventricular arrhythmias or sudden death, both in ischemic heart disease and in non-ischemic cardiomyopathy. He has also developed a new ecg algorithm to diagnose acute myocardial infarction in patients with left bundle branch block (BARCELONA algorithm).
