Amin Herati MD
Assistant Professor of Urology and OB/GYN; Director, Male Infertility, Brady Urological Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MarylandAmin Herati, MD, is a urologist with fellowship training in male infertility and andrology. Dr. Herati completed his urologic residency at the Smith Institute for Urology. During his residency and pursued fellowship training as a K12 male infertility scholar under the mentorship of Drs. Dolores Lamb and Larry Lipshultz at Baylor College of Medicine.
Since completing fellowship, Dr. Herati has served as the director of male infertility and director of men's health at the Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has worked closely with the Klinefelter Center to spread awareness and advance research in therapy and care of the Klinefelter male. His research focuses on studying pelvic pain, optimizing the function of the HPG axis in men with hypergonadotrophic hypogonadism, studying novel sonographic techniques to identify which patients will respond best to fertility optimizing surgeries and improving the outcomes of microsurgical testicular sperm extraction.
