Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellow, Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, New York

Dr. Alyson Kaplan is a third-year Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellow at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. She will be a transplant hepatology fellow at the combined Cornell/Columbia program starting in July 2022. Her research interests are in healthcare disparities in patients with liver disease, living liver donation, and end-of-life care in patients with cirrhosis.

She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Princeton University in 2012, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 2016, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then went on to complete her internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and finished in 2019. Currently, she is a gastroenterology fellow at NYP Weill Cornell and is in graduate school to obtain a Master’s of Science in Epidemiology and Health Services Research.
