Alison N. Huffstetler, MD, is a family physician, Medical Director of the Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Population Health at Virginia Commonwealth University, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Georgetown University. Dr. Huffstetler balances clinical responsibilities and her role as a residency educator with health services research. Her clinical practice is at the Fairfax Family Medicine Residency in Fairfax, VA. Her research interests include the primary care workforce, access to equitable care, and health system reform. Dr. Huffstetler has publications in primary care practice based research network studies, analysis of payment, systematic reviews of clinical care, and more. She trained at the University of Virginia and completed the Robert L. Phillips Jr. Health Policy Fellowship at Georgetown University.
