Alexis Gumm, MD, joined the Medical College of Wisconsin (WI) and Children’s WI in 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition.

She completed her medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, pediatric residency at University of Wisconsin in Madison, pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and her advanced fellowship in pediatric transplant hepatology at Harvard.

Alexis’s area of special interest, aside from pediatric liver transplant, is in the field of hepato-cardiology. She is currently seeing patients in clinic with complex-congenital heart conditions and conducting research associated with Fontan-associated liver disease.
