Dr. Alexander Bick is an Assistant Professor of Genetic Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He completed his MD and PhD training at Harvard Medical School and Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. His scientific observations have advanced our understanding of the genetic basis for cardiovascular disease, characterized molecular disease mechanisms and identified both the promise and limitations of translating genomics into routine medical practice. He directs the preventive genomics program at the Vanderbilt Genetics and Therapeutics Clinic where he sees patients with clonal hematopoiesis and inherited cardiovascular disease.
