Alex is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he also completed an Advance Practice Fellowship in Cornea and Contact Lenses. His research topics have included scleral lenses, higher-order aberration correction with contact lenses, contact lens fit assessment with optical coherence tomography, and myopia control. Presently, he is clinical assistant professor at The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he teaches general clinical and contact lens practice. He is also a member of the Bifocal Lenses In Nearsighted Kids (BLINK) Study Group, a multi-location group conducting a National Eye Institute sponsored study investigating the effectiveness of soft center distance multifocal lenses to limit myopia progression.
