Akshay Sood, MD, received his urologic residency training at the Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. He is currently a fellow in urologic oncology at the the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Sood aims to specialize in pelvic genitourinary cancers and focus on clinical and translational research in prostate and bladder cancers. He enjoys hiking, swimming, reading fiction and medical non-fiction, and going on walks with his dog.
