Dr. Prasad is a Professor of Interventional Cardiology and Consultant cardiologist at St George’s Hospital.  He is the Academic Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Dr. Prasad is a graduate of the University of London and has trained at the National Institutes of Health and Mayo Clinic.  He is a recipient of the American Heart Association’s Samuel A. Levine Young Clinical Investigator Award.   Dr. Prasad has previously worked as an interventional cardiologist in the Cardiovascular Division of the Mayo Clinic for 10 years.  He currently holds a rank of Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic.

Professor Prasad’s research interests are in percutaneous coronary intervention, coronary vascular biology, and Takotsubo (Stress) cardiomyopathy.  He has published over 160 peer reviewed publications.
