Dr. Aasef Shaikh holds the Penni and Stephen Weinberg Chair in Brain Health at the University Hospitals in Cleveland. His academic endeavors at The Daroff-Dell’Osso Ocular Motility Laboratory, situated at Case Western Reserve University, revolve around addressing intricate disorders related to the vestibular system, eye movements, head movements, gait, and balance through the application of biomedical engineering principles. The overarching objective is to unveil novel network connections and harness their impact to artificially modulate motor circuits, aiming to treat challenging neurological conditions. Dr. Shaikh has been honored with prestigious awards, including the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Alliance Founders Award, the American Neurological Association Grass Foundation Award in Neuroscience, the AAN Career Award, the Jon Stolk Award for Excellence in Movement Disorders from the AAN, and the George C.
