As an early-career investigator, Dr. Delman’s primary research interest is in developing and designing interventions which mitigate disparities in access and outcomes for historically disenfranchised and minoritized patients undergoing solid organ transplantation. As a researcher, he strives to understand and provide solutions to day-to-day problems faced by potential transplant recipients. As a part of the Cincinnati Research in Outcomes and Safety in Surgery (CROSS) research team, Dr. Delman has published extensively on different mechanisms for increasing access to transplantation, as well as advocated for a more transparent and equitable allocation system. The goal of their ongoing research is to is to assess how well the index can incentivize individual kidney transplant centers to increase equitable access to transplantation.
