Dr. Hinkley is an alumna, Professor and Chief of Vision Rehabilitation Services at the Ferris State University Michigan College of Optometry. After years in Ohio private practice, she returned to MCO, teaching didactically and clinically in the areas of peditarics and low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Hinkley is the recipient of many grants and awards, a certified Michigan Low Vision Specialist and a Fellow of COVD, AAO and NAP. Dr. Hinkley was awarded 2009 Michigan Young Optometrist of the Year, Outstanding Professor of the Year in 2008-9, 2014 Visionary of the Year and 2015 Michigan Optometric Association Keyperson of the Year.
