Klesges, Ph.D. is a Professor of Preventive Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). He is also the Director of the Center for Population Sciences at UTHSC. He is currently the Principal Investigator of 6 NIH and DoD grants, four of which involve assessment and treatment of tobacco and nicotine containing products. He has over 250 peer review publications, he is a 7 time contributor to the Surgeon General’s Reports on smoking and health, and contributed to the 2011 Institute of Medicine report on smoking in the military and veterans populations.
